Linux/NIS/NFS Q: Path with NIS and /home NFS mount?

I login to a bunch of different hosts via NIS and my /home/me is on a mounted nfs file system and in there is my .profile where my PATH=$PATH lives . If I want certain directories to be included included in my path only when I login to a particular system – what do I need to do? Or should I just add add all the paths I might want for all the systems I log into in that .profile?
